Obituary of Mary E. Napoli

January 11, 2013 Mary E. Napoli of Orange, died on Friday, January 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Napoli of Bridgeport and the daughter of the late James and Rose Palmieri, formerly of Trumbull. Mary had three daughters and two wonderful son-in-laws. They are Robert and Pamela S. DAmore of Glastonbury, CT, Anthony and Rosemary Cipolla of Miami, FL, and Joan Marie Napoli of Washington, ME. She laughed and stayed young through her vibrant five grandchildren: Cyd, Lee Anthony, Andrea Lynn, Alyssa Christen, and Zoe Helene. Mary graduated from Bassick High School, attended Columbia University school of Nursing and graduated from St. Vincents School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for over 45 years working in New York, Miami and then returning to St Vincents Hospital. She stayed active with the St. Vincents College Alumni Organization and maintained a strong bond with her fellow nursing classmates. She always enjoyed her annual get together luncheon with them. Mary was an active member of the Milford Senior Center and their Bowling League. She was always proud of her husbands athletic career as a baseball and football star at the University of Alabama. Mary was an avid fan of both the Yankees and the UCONN Womens Basketball team. Mary was constantly reinventing herself through knitting, crocheting, avid reader, Pinochle champ, and recently Bridge. She was a longtime veteran of ballroom dancing and enjoyed opera. Mary spent her last golden years at the assisted living resort site Maplewood of Orange. With a bright smile she would describe it as, Im on a vacation every day of my life. Funeral Information Private family funeral services were conducted and burial was in St. Michaels Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
