Obituary of Mary Moretti

Resident of Bridgeport Mary Mastri Moretti, age 99, of Bridgeport, a retired seamstress for Panettieri Shirt Co., died peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at her home. Born in Faeto, Province of Foggia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Clotilda Maglio Mastri. She was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Friendship Club at St. Margarets Shrine. She was pre-deceased by her husband Pietro Moretti, two sons, Joseph and John Moretti, two brothers, Leonard and Earl Mastri and a sister, Theresa Gianetta. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother, sister and aunt and will be sadly missed. Survivors include a sister, Amelia Pirrello and her husband Joseph of Bridgeport, two daughters-in-law, Vivian Moretti of Bridgeport and Emily Smith of Woodbridge, devoted family friends, Addie and Al Trentini of Stratford, six grandchildren, Marie Nowitz and her husband Jon of Monroe, Peter Moretti and his wife Sharon of Stratford, John Moretti and his wife Karen of PA, Sandra Stramoski and her husband Paul of Shelton, David Moretti and his wife Jane of Westbrook and Michele Williams and her husband Jeffrey of Trumbull, 12 great grandchildren, a great great grandson and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her loving caregivers and the staff of CT Home Hospice. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
