Obituary of Edith R. Frascatore

Resident of Trumbull Edith R. Frascatore, age 95, of Trumbull, passed away on November 18, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, CT on March 8, 1913, she lived a long and wonderful life. Although she never married nor had children of her own, she was like a mother to several nieces and nephews who will forever remember her unending and unconditional love and devotion to them and their children. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of her friends and family who will never forget her unbelievable baking talents and willingness to be available to whoever needed her. Edie left her mark in this world as a dedicated teacher of almost 40 years in the Bridgeport school system. She touched many childrens lives with her caring and creative manner of educating. In addition to her parents Loretta and Ralph Frascatore, Edith was predeceased by her loving sister Marietta who was not only her sister, but her best friend and her brother the King Mickey and his wife Mary Frascatore and her very special nephew Ralph Frascatore, Sr.. Edith is survived by her niece Stella Frascatore of Trumbull, her nephew Michael Frascatore, Jr. and wife Gail of Shelton, her niece Nancy Devito and husband Sal of San Diego, CA, her niece Loretta Piccirillo and husband Rick of Trumbull, and her niece Mary Frascatore of Trumbull. She has also left behind her very special caregiver, companion and friend Enid. She is survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews who will never forget all the birthday cakes she made for them, all the important lessons she taught them and all the wonderful times they spent together at the beach house in Lordship. Funeral Information Relatives and friends will gather to celebrate Edies life on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Trumbull followed by interment in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford.
