Obituary of Christopher C. Moreland

Christopher C. Moreland, age 31, of Seymour, a devoted member of the Seymour Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and a firefighter for the Town of Hamden, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was born in New Haven on November 30, 1977 and was pre-deceased by his father Robert P. Moreland Sr.

Chris grew up in Seymour and graduated from Platt Technical School in 1995. He volunteered for the Seymour Fire Department and was a graduate of the Connecticut Fire Academy. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Giants fan.

Survivors include his wife Lisa C. Shimizu Moreland, his mothers, Roberta Koslosky Moreland and Dina Hennessey Catlin, his brother, Robert Moreland II and his wife Alicia of Naugatuck, his sister, Jacqueline Deutsch and her husband David of Ansonia, his mother-in-law, Darre Shimizu of Fairfield.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trumbull Marriot, 180 Hawley Lane, Trumbull. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday from 3-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovahs Witnesses.
