Obituary of Marie V. Franko

Oxford Resident Marie V. Franko, age 70, of Oxford and formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife of Raymond E. Franko , passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at her home. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of Elsie Viglione Sedita of Trumbull and the late James P. Sedita. In addition to her husband of 49 years, she is survived by her devoted children, James J. Franko and his wife Debbie of Shelton, Elise Bresnahan of Trumbull and Raymond F. Franko and his wife Jennifer of Trumbull. She will also be missed by her loving grandchildren, Ashley, Vickie and Billy Bresnahan and Troy and Brett Franko, her sisters, Patricia Biondi and Sandra Masso, both of Huntington, as well as dear friends in Trumbull and South Carolina and co-workers at the Trumbull Fairchild Library where she worked for 17 years. Marie met many dear friends in the ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease ) Association of CT. She will be remembered for her love of flowers, bluebirds, cooking, acts of kindness for everyone and for her wonderful smile. Marie was a 1958 graduate of Harding High School and was also Queen of the Hop that year. The family would like to extend a special thanks for Dr. Kevin Felice and Candace Keily R.N. and to Terri and Ann for the compassionate and dedicated care they all provided for Marie. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday July 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery.
