Obituary of Eleanor Micalizzi

February 08, 2013 Bridgeport Resident Eleanor Lisi Micalizzi, of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born in Bridgeport, a lifelong resident, and the daughter of the late John and Mary Caruso Lisi. Eleanor was lovingly know as "El" or E". She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. El had a huge heart. She lived for her family and loved to cook. She was famous for her Sunday macaroni and meatball dinners. Eleanor had a gift for writing unique poetry. She loved to shop and if she knew you needed something you could consider it done. Christmas at Eleanor's house was truly something special and she loved great big family gatherings. She was the sunshine of her family's lives and she will be Sorely missed. Survivors include her children, Sharon Micalizzi, Maureen Stacy and her husband Gene, Dr Philip Micalizzi Jr and wife Donna, Robin Micalizzi and Dr. Gerald Micalizzi. Nine cherished grandchildren whom she loved, Leonard, Dennis, Kari, Kristi, Gene Jr., Jenna, Carla, Daren and Jason. Nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her four brothers, Anthony Lisi (Barbara), Robert Lisi (Jan), Dr. Richard Lisi (Carol), and Dr. Kenneth Lisi (Patricia) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Lisi Jr. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 8th floor ICU at St. Vincent's Medical Center for the dedicated care they provided. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 meeting directly at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grassmere By the Sea Adult Day Care Center through the funeral home.
