Obituary of Daniel G. Marconi

Loving Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather Daniel G. Marconi, age 90, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Florence Burton Marconi, died peacefully on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Shelton Lakes Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 25, 1922 he was a son of the late Leonard and Antoinette Marcello Marconi. A graduate of Warren Harding High School Class of 1940, Dan was a retired supervisor for Remington Arms with 42 years of dedicated service and was president of the Remington DuPont Quarter Century Club. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport, where he was an usher and Eucharistic Minister. Dan was currently a member of St. Gabriel Church in Milford. Two brothers, William and Leonard Marconi and three sisters, Dora Aiello, Josephine DiNardo and Alice Iassogna, predeceased him. Dans survivors include four loving children, Patricia Kenworthy and her husband John of Milford, Daniel Marconi and his wife Jean of Trumbull, Leonard Marconi of Milford and Lenore Marconi-Ballut of Florida, six cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Kenworthy, David, Danielle and Daniel Marconi and Ethan Ballut, three great grandchildren, Michaela, Max and Fiorella; a brother Robert Marconi of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was an avid sports fan playing, coaching or supporting his team or Remingtons team in the industrial leagues. Dan truly enjoyed watching his children and his grandchildren compete on the athletic field and he was never at a loss for words to express encouragement or displeasure. Dan will be remembered for his smile, his wit and his willingness to help his friends and family, by offering a ride, doing a favor or by visiting a sick friend or family member to provide comfort and companionship. The Boss will be missed. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Milford. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
