Obituary of Frederick P. Flanagan

Resident of Bridgeport Frederick P. Flanagan, age 70, of Bridgeport, loving and devoted husband of Joanne Mazur Flanagan passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Vincents Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Norwich, CT on January 31, 1942 he was a son of the late Frederick and Mafalda Rose Cella Flanagan. Fred was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Before his retirement he was a millwright at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 23 years where he was a member of Local Union 1150, he was also formerly employed by T. M. Barnes & Sons for many years. He was an avid bowler with the Nutmeg Bowling League for many years and loved his 1938 Ford Club Coupe and the trophies he was awarded. Fred was a fun loving man who could put a smile on everyones face. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family would like to thank the professional staff at St. Vincents Medical Center for their care and dedication. In addition to his devoted wife of 37 years Joanne, survivors include a brother, Thomas Wal of SC, his mother-in-law, Angelina DeAngelo of Bridgeport, a sister-in-law, Maryanne DeAngelo of Fairfield, a brother-in-law, Salvatore DeAngelo of GA and many dear friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Mountain Grove Cemetery Pilgrimage Mausoleum, Bridgeport.
