Obituary of Sarah Kostuk

On February 23, 2012, Sarah (Sally) Koteas Kostuk, age 93, of Huntington, transitioned into a place where she can fulfill her role of guardian angel and protector for her much loved family and friends. Her kindness and endless love can be counted on to assist those left behind. She leaves behind her soul mate and husband of 70 years, Nicholas Kostuk, until they can fulfill their vow of together forever. Sally and Nicks devotion and love for each other has been a model for others to follow. In addition to her beloved husband, her daughter, Sandy Banks and her husband Dan of Monroe, CT, along with her son, Alex Kostuk and his wife Elizabeth of Forth Worth, Texas will cherish the memory of her unlimited love and unconditional support. Sally deeply loved her grandchildren, Nick and Julie Banks and Todd and Tara Banks of Shelton, CT, Sally, Christy and Jamie Kostuk of Texas who though far away always knew the love their Grammie had for all of them. She delighted in her great grandchildren, Diana and Lily of Shelton, Jazmine, Olivia, Alex, Ashley, Madelyn and Whitney of Texas who loved their Yaya. She is also survived by her brother, John Koteus of East Granby, CT, along with several nieces and nephews with whom she had a very special relationship. Sally was predeceased by her parents, Mary and August Koteas, two sisters, Florence Toth and Electra Young and three brothers, Peter, James and George Koteas. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. directly in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. There will be no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to the church where they may greet the family and celebrate the love and light of their friend and relative as she begins her journey.
