Obituary of Frederick Korzun

Loving Husband & Father Frederick Korzun, age 71 of Huntington, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 9, 1941, he was a son of the late Alexander and Mary Korzun. He graduated from the City University of New York, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Fred retired from ABB Inc, as Director of Supply Management with over 30 years of dedicated service. In his position he travelled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Latin America. He was an enthusiastic UCONN womens basketball supporter, enjoyed golf, bowling, woodworking, and was an avid do-it-yourself home improvement person even building a home addition in his prior home in Rockaway, NJ. Above all this, his greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent with his wife, daughter and canine friend Munson. Fred was the beloved husband of Lee Korzun for almost 50 years and encouraged her to travel with him and friends to over 25 countries. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his cherished daughter Nicole Korzun of Huntington, and brothers Alexander Korzun of Stratford, CT, and Thomas Korzun of Accord, NY. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure and honor of knowing him. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Friday December 28, 2012 at 11:00am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday December 27, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
