Obituary of Anthony M. Kojalowicz

Anthony M. Kojalowicz, age 85, beloved husband of Edna Miller Kojalowicz of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Jewish Home of Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on June 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Benedict and Mary Zavodjancik Kojalowicz. Mr. Kojalowicz was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II and later graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in engineering. He was an electrical engineer with General Precision, and at his retirement in 1992 he was employed at the former Singer-Kearfott where he designed the navigation system for the space shuttle. He was proud to have also worked on the navigation system that was used on The Nautilus, the first nuclear submarine to travel under the Polar Ice Cap. He was a member of the Tashua Knolls Mens Bowling League, and enjoyed sailing on Canoe Brook Lake. In addition to his wife, survivors include his three loving daughters, Linda Kojalowicz of Milford, Karen Gorton and her husband Jeffrey of Trumbull, and Amy Maltas and her husband Jay of Trumbull, seven grandchildren, Julia, Melanie, Tess and Angela Gorton, Wesley, Lila and Jude Maltas, a brother-in-law, Richard Miller Sr. and his wife Bernadette of Myrtle Beach, SC, and two nephews, Bruce Miller and his wife Beth and Richard Miller Jr., and his wife Bonnie. He was predeceased by a nephew, Kevin Miller. The family would like to thank Anthony's neighbors for all their caring support and generosity. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
