Obituary of Faith M. Junz

Faith Maria Gabriel Junz, age 100 years and 281 days, of Delray Beach, Florida and Trumbull, Connecticut beloved wife of the late Joseph Junz, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, with her loving daughter and son-in-law at her side. Born in Bridgeport, on March 14, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Rocco and Raffaela Iacurci Gabriel. Along with her late husband, together they owned and operated The Custom Shop of Bridgeport for 25+ years.

Faith enjoyed life, dancing, music and camping with her family. She treasured time spent with family creating memories that would last forever. Her smile would light up a room especially when her grandchildren and great grandson were around. Faith was very grateful for the love and support provided by her "five star" son-in-law, Randy. The unconditional love Faith provided will be in the hearts of her family forever.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Joanna and her husband Randy Meeker of Trumbull, three cherished grandchildren, Gretchen and her husband Brian along with their son Brayton, Joseph and his wife Kendra, Randy Jr. and his wife Melanie, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph T. and Dominic Gabriel, three sisters, Ruth Nucera, Dorothy Fasanella, Effie Hurst and nephews Richard Gabriel and David Hurst.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Roman Catholic Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Abriola Funeral Home.
