Obituary of Ana C. Vieira

After a courageous battle with cancer, Ana Cardoso Vieira, age 52, of Shelton, beloved wife of Manuel Vieira, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Ana was born in Luanda, Angola, Africa on April 14, 1965, daughter of the late Alfredo and Maria Amelia Moreira Cardoso. Ana loved her family and friends dearly, dancing, and travelling, especially to Portugal. She will be remembered for her delicious meals, her vibrant personality, and her kind-hearted generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. In addition to her loving husband Manuel of 33 years, she leaves behind two daughters, Kimberly Vieira of Orange, and Erika Vieira Araujo and her husband David of Woodbridge as well as her cherished grandson, Lucas Araujo, her sister, Stella Esteves and her husband Jose of Monroe, mother-in-law, Helena Monteiro of Portugal, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Manuel Vieira. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, Derby. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
