Obituary of Robert C. Phillip

Robert C. Phillip, age 80, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Lillian Deamico Phillip, passed away at home on Monday, January 9, 2017. Born in Bridgeport on March 12, 1936, he was a son of the late John and Caroline Urda Phillip. Robert was A U. S. Navy veteran and was proud of his service as a State Marshal, where he worked as a contractor for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Andrew’s Church in Bridgeport, and an avid New York Yankees and New England Patriots Fan. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife of 59 years, Lillian, survivors include three children, Robert Vincent Phillip and his wife Karen of Cummings, GA, Terri Lynn Phillip of Trumbull, and Laurie Ann Ismail and her husband Jay of Trumbull, two granddaughters, Gina Marie and Lea Rose Ismail, two adopted granddaughters, Abriela and Juliana Licari, a brother, Kenneth Phillip and his wife Patricia of CA, a sister, Rita Kozlowski of FL, a brother-in-law, Vincent Deamico, and sisters-in-law Catherine Phillip and Patricia Fitch. He was predeceased by three brothers, Richard, Dennis and William Phillip. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to his Doctors, Dr. Srinath Kadimi, Dr. Victor Mejia, Dr. Arcangelo DiStefano and his Hospice Nurses, Jennifer, Robin, Iris, and Grace for their care and support of Robert during his difficult time. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
