Obituary of Isabel J. Herb

Resident of Orange Isabel Platko Herb, age 80, of Orange, beloved wife of the late Albert F. Herb, Jr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at her daughters residence in Prospect. Born in Yatesboro, PA on October 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Goulish Platko. She was a bookkeeper for the Town of Trumbull Finance Department with 20 years of service. Survivors include a son, Brian Herb and his wife, Michelle of Stratford; a daughter, Isabel Kearns of Prospect; daughter-in-law, Marion Herb of Beacon Falls; four cherished grandchildren, Richard Kearns and Andrew Kearns of Prospect, Erin Herb and Albert Herb IV of Beacon Falls; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Albert F. Herb III, a brother, John J. Platko and five sisters, Marie R. Giroux, Dolores A. Kolendo, Alice S. Posh, Delphine P. Chmielewski and Margaret P. Shellhammer. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
