Obituary of Quinto Carlo Carloni

Quinto Carlo Carloni, age 84, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Maureen Buckley Carloni, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on August 30, 1931, Quinto was a son of the late Frank and Nicolena Prezioso Carloni. Mr. Carloni was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean War era. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Bridgeport, and taught classes in the field. Before his retirement, he was a Civil Engineer at Raybestos and Textron Lycoming where he had more than 15 years of service. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, golfing, fishing and camping with his children and grandchildren. Quinto was an avid woodworker, often making toy benches, shadow boxes and shelves, among other pieces, for his grandchildren. Survivors include his three loving children, Lenore Carloni of Pensacola, FL, Greg Carloni and his wife Joanne of Gilbert, AZ and Matthew Carloni and his wife Tara of Monroe, a brother, Jeano Carloni and his wife Leona of Trumbull, a sister, Diane Mariano of FL, and eleven grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, David, Marissa, Brittney, Anthony, Danielle, Allie, Nicole, Matthew, Courtney. He will be missed tremendously by his four great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ayden, Isabella, and Ansleigh as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carla Marie Carloni Parente, a son, Marc Francis Carloni, brothers, Frank, Jr., Mike and Albert Carloni and sisters, Jessie Carloni Kulikowski and Lucy Carloni Terrible. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow in St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
