Obituary of Frank Joseph Tritto

Frank “Butch” Joseph Tritto, age 73, of Bridgeport passed away suddenly on Monday, February 8, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport . He was the beloved husband of Cheryl Lampone Tritto. Born in Tarrytown, NY, on September 4, 1942, he was a son of the late Frank and Ann Calabro Tritto. Frank worked as a supervisor for Sargent & Company where he retired after 20 years of service. Frank was a master gardener whose specialty was growing plants. He loved salt water fishing and took enjoyment in cooking for family and friends. Frank also had a desire for traveling, especially on cruises with his wife Cheryl. In addition to his wife Cheryl, other survivors include his daughters, Deborah Bacchiocchi and her husband Anthony of East Haven, Cheryl Romano and her husband Christopher of East Haven; a step-son, Joseph Toto of Shelton; sisters, Pauline Tinari and her husband Joe of East Haven, Mary Mastriano and her husband Anthony of North Haven, Georgeanne Bartolan and her husband Joe of East Haven, Jean Streeto and her husband Robert of North Branford; a brother, David Simoes of East Haven; grandchildren, David Witter and his wife Dana, Scott Witter, Chelsea Witter, Dustin Romano, Tyler and Christopher Toto, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Frank was pre-deceased by his former wife Karen Nitchke Tritto formerly of Milford. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. directly in St. Andrew’s Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, CT, 06606. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
