Obituary of Richard W. Grabowski

Richard W. Grabowski, age 58, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015 at CT Hospice in Branford surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary Gillespie Grabowski. Born in Bridgeport on September 3, 1957, he was a son of John J. and Dorothy Bonazzo Grabowski of Trumbull. With a Master in Business Administration, Richard had a long career in technology sales, was an entrepreneur and owner of numerous businesses and was most recently the owner and proprietor of the Austin Hill Inn in West Dover, Vermont. A loving and devoted son, brother, husband and father, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents of Trumbull, he is also survived by his beloved wife of twenty four years, Rose and their children, Ryan of Boston, Caroline, Kevin and Sarah of Monroe, his two brothers, John Grabowski, Jr and his wife Christine, and Ronald Grabowski and his wife Janene, of Monroe. He is also survived by thirty one nieces and nephews as well as many close friends. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Friends and relatives are invited to meet directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
