Obituary of James Hanlon

James Hanlon, Sr., age 81, beloved husband of Theresa Costa Hanlon of Trumbull, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. Born on April 30, 1931 he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Casey Hanlon. Before his retirement he worked in the composite department at Sikorsky Aircraft of Stratford for over 18 years. He enjoyed golfing at Tashua Knolls and fishing after retiring. In addition to Theresa, his devoted wife of 58 years, survivors include three children, James Hanlon Jr. and his wife Patricia of Oxford, Joseph Hanlon and his wife Jennifer of Trumbull and Janice Marschall and her husband Brian of Huntington, six grandchildren, James Hanlon III and his fiance Amy Cook, Kara Bouchard and her husband David, all of Oxford, Jacqueline and Kelsey Marschall of Huntington and Sarah and Kyle Hanlon of Trumbull, a great granddaughter, Sophia Bouchard, a brother, Charles Hanlon and his wife Louise of Trumbull, a brother-in-law, Paul Costa of Trumbull, two sisters-in-law, Ann Palmieri and her husband Gus of Stratford and Dora Costa of Trumbull as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Marion Hanlon. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Jewish Home for the Elderly (Compassionate Care). Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at TheAbriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
