Obituary of Maureen E. Hamilton

Maureen Elizabeth (Brenner) Hamilton, age 50 of Cary, NC, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC surrounded by her loving family. Maureen was born on the island of Oahu in Hawaii on March 31, 1962. She was predeceased, at a young age, by both of her parents Regina K. Brenner and Richard R. Brenner. In addition to her grief-stricken and devoted husband, Brian, survivors include her two loving and adoring sons, William Madden Hamilton and Nolan Holt Hamilton of Cary, NC. Maureen also leaves behind her loving and fiercely dedicated brother, John G. Brenner, whom she raised following the death of their parents; as well as his wife, Laurin Ann, a close friend and confidante of Maureens for 31 years. Auntie Reen will be truly missed by her beloved nieces Amanda Regina Brenner and Kailee Elizabeth Brenner of Fairfield CT. Maureen is also survived by her mother in law, Sheila Hamilton as well as her sweet, caring sisters in law, Sharon Ann Hamilton and Melanie J. Hamilton Sicotte, Melanies husband, Jason and the sisters respective children, Maureens adored niece Danielle Lomi and nephew, Billy Sicotte, all of Milford CT. Maureen graduated from Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield, CT. She then went on and completed her BA degree in business from Sacred Heart University and a MS degree in Finance from Fairfield University, both in Fairfield, CT. Maureen completed her MSW from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC and worked as a social worker concentrating on the welfare of children. She was committed to children in the foster care system, as well as, her most enjoyable job of, helping families with child adoptions. Maureen was a loving, protective and devoted mother. Her intense faith, values and love will live on through the lives of her sons and family. She will be profoundly missed by her family members and many friends whose lives she touched with her selfless generosity, warm, thoughtful, compassionate, and often tenacious manner and her easy sense of humor. Funeral Information Committal Services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Oaklawn Cemetery Mausoleum, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
