Obituary of Nicholas Faris

U. S. Army Veteran Nicholas Faris, age 95, of Glenwood, New Jersey and formerly of Trumbull, CT, died on Monday, January 9, 2012 in Milford Manor, West Milford, New Jersey. Born in Stamford on November 20, 1916, he was a son of the late Theodore and Mary Handrinos. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Nick was a retired employee of Bridgeport Machines and had formerly been employed by Metropolitan Auto Body Shop of Bridgeport. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Isabell Pietrantonio Faris, a daughter, Carol Hoffman and two brothers, Angelo Faris and Teddy Handrinos. Nick enjoyed bowling, wood crafting, and his beloved grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Alan Faris and his wife Patricia of Glenwood, NJ, three grandchildren, Bryan and Kyle Faris and Matthew Hoffman, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
