Obituary of Pauline Ida Grisell

Pauline Ida Costanzo Grisell, age 80, beloved wife of the late Joseph (Skip) Grisell died peacefully on January 4, 2013, in her home with all her children and her extended family of caregivers at her side after a long and valiant battle with Alzheimers Disease and Cancer. Born in Bridgeport on January 25, 1932, she was a Daughter of the late Anthony Costanzo and Sara DApice Costanzo Rich. She was a Graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport. As a teenager she started her working career at Mohegan Market in Bridgeport. Before she left the business world to raise her Family, she was a former employee of the Southern New England Telephone Company. Pauline was an original and life-long parishioner of Christ the King Church (formerly Most Precious Blood) in Trumbull. In her younger years, she was very active in both the church and the school. She graciously volunteered her time organizing and working on church dances, carnivals, bingos, fashion shows, participating in the Ladies Guild, and providing hot lunches for the school children. Pauline was a true Angel on this earth. Her beautiful smile, unwavering loving heart, and her kind and gentle soul had a profound impact on every life she touched. She was unselfishly devoted to all her Family and loved each one of them deeply and unconditionally. Her love has made such a difference in the lives of many. Pauline will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her survivors which include her two Sons, Keith Grisell of Bridgeport and Brian Grisell of Brookfield, her Daughter, Sara Rosso and her Husband Vincent of Trumbull, her three cherished Grandchildren, Brian Jr., Brianna, and Marisa Grisell, her Brother Louis Costanzo and her Sister Suzanne Boyko and her Husband Michael of Florida, her Sisters-In-Law, Ann Costanzo, Mary Costanzo, Linda Rich, and Veronica Grisell, and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her Husband and her Parents, Pauline was predeceased by her Brothers Ralph (Ray) Costanzo, Dominick Costanzo, Arthur Costanzo, Joseph Costanzo, Nicholas Costanzo, Anthony (Pat) Costanzo, Anthony Rich, and her Sister Catherine Rich Houle. She was also predeceased by her Step-Father Lebro Rich, Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law William and Lillian Grisell, and several Brothers-In-Law and Sisters-In-Law. Paulines children would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Loretha (Lori), and to Beverly and Mary for their loving and compassionate care and dedication they provided to their beloved and beautiful Mom. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
