Obituary of Robert P. Dominguez

Retired Bridgeport Police Officer Robert P. Dominguez, age 72, of Shelton, beloved husband of Anna Cardarelli Dominguez, passed away on Friday July 15,2011 at St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 28, 1938, he was a son of the late Manuel and Felecia Matute Dominguez and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Robert was a retired police officer for the City of Bridgeport with over 20 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed flea markets, arts and crafts, photography, gardening, woodworking, bowling and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. Bobby was pre-deceased by a son, former Bridgeport Police Officer, Michael Dominguez, brothers, Manuel II, Henry, Anthony and Joseph Dominquez and sisters, Inez Carter and Josephine Carter, Felecia Feola and Margie Dominguez. In addition to his beloved wife of 46 years Anna, survivors include two loving children, Robert G. Dominguez of Shelton and Cristina Mikos and her husband Gregory of Fairfield, six cherished grandchildren, Cariann, Raelyn, Bobby, Michael, Ryan and Emersyn, a brother, Richard Dominguez and his wife Lucille of Shelton, three sisters, Jennie Bertanza of Shelton, Maria Dominguez of Bridgeport, and Rose Siwy of Uncasville, his mother in law, Antoinette Cardarelli, a sister-in-law, Carmela Perelli both of Bridgeport, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Pilgrimage Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm.
