Obituary of Joseph Anthony Greco

Resident of Oxford Joseph Anthony Greco of Oxford, CT was born July 21, 1923 in Harrisburg, PA and passed away on August 8, 2011 at Griffin Hospital. A longtime Trumbull resident, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Anna Testani Greco. He is survived by his two daughters Joanne Rochman of Newtown and Patricia Hliva of Oxford; son-in-laws, Pierre Rochman, James Hliva, and Randall Jutcawitz; grandchildren Pierre Rochman II and Helene, Noel Rochman, David and Meranda Jutcawitz, and Heather-Ann and Haven Moore; great grandchildren David and William Jutcawitz. A man who loved family he will be missed by his sisters Margaret Vareha and Katherine Duzak, his brother Edward Greco, his brothers and sister-in-laws, whom he considered brothers and sister, and his many nieces and nephews. He took great pride in being a World War II veteran and a member of the Mother Cabrini Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree. Formerly a supervisor at Metropolitan Body Company and a retired Plant Engineer for American Fabrics Company, he received the CT Engineer of the Year presented to him by the late Governor Ella Grasso and he was the President of the Connecticut Association of Engineers. He championed Positive Mental Attitude and was an accomplished muralist, portrait and landscape artist as well as a fine musician. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
