Obituary of Ernestine E. Curtin

Ernestine Harms Curtin, age 90, of Trumbull, wife of the late James P. Curtin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Masonicare at Newtown. Born in New York City on January 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Helen Stewart Harms. Erna was an aide with the New York City Public School System and worked at Public School 71 in the Bronx for over 29 years. She was the President with Local #10 of the Community Planning Board. Survivors include a son, Jim Curtin and his wife Su of Trumbull, a brother, Theodore Harms and his wife, Eleanor of Basking Ridge, NJ, two grandchildren Robert Curtin and his wife Christina and Christina Parra and her husband Michael, three great grandchildren, Megan and Casey Curtin and Logan Parra, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Masonicare for their kind, compassionate care. Funeral Information Friends may call on Monday, August 6, 2012 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with services following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, NY. The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull has been entrusted with arrangements.
