Obituary of Betty Jane Cologna

Resident of Trumbull Betty Jane Baker Cologna, age 78, of Trumbull, beloved wife of John D. Cologna, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Chicago, IL on August 9, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Cecelia Hanelt Baker. She was a religious education teacher in Louisville, KY for many years before moving to Trumbull in 1974. In addition to John, her devoted husband of 60 years, survivors include eight loving children; Ann Sullivan of Meriden, Barbara G. Pietruk and her husband Walter of Fl, Danial Cologna and his wife Robyn of Newtown, Kathleen Day and her husband Chris of Fairfield, Andrea Amalfitano and her husband Michael of TX, Linda Cavaliere of Newtown, Karen Echeverria and her husband Tim of Newtown and John T. Cologna of Milford, 22 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister; Frances Williams of FL and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers; Vernon and Gene Baker and a sister; Marion Smith. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
