Obituary of Margaret H. Cavaliere

Lifelong Resident of Trumbull Margaret Marge Hildegard Gross Cavaliere, age 85, of Trumbull, died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital following a brief illness. Born October 26, 1926, she was a lifelong resident of Trumbull. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Ben Cavaliere and is survived by her daughter, Nancy Cavaliere-Fisher, son-in-law Steve, and her grandchildren Barrett and Rhegan, who meant the world to her. Mrs. Cavaliere was a graduate of Bassick High School and a 1947 graduate of the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing, working at the hospital for most of her career. She was a Cadet Nurse during WWII. Marge was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Long Hill Fire Department and held all of the officer positions over the years. She was also a past member of the Tashua Knolls Womens Nine Hole Golf League. Marge enjoyed traveling, camping, and skiing in her younger years, and playing bridge and spending time with her family as she got older. She enjoyed cooking and baking to the delight of her family and friends. Marge also leaves behind her extended family of brother and sisters-in-law, Vinny & Rusty, Tony, Lou and Dot Cavaliere of Trumbull, Jerry and Merilee Cavaliere of Newtown, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her beloved Chihuahua Roxi. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
