Obituary of Henry L. Giannini

Retired Bridgeport Police Officer Henry L. Giannini, age 93, beloved husband of Lucille DeCesare Giannini, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Masonic Care at Newtown. Born in Bridgeport, on February 15, 1919, he was a son of the late Frank and Josephine Marconi Giannini. Henry was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II serving in New Guinea, Guadalcanal, Luzon and the North Solomon Islands. Before his retirement he was a police officer with the city of Bridgeport for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching thoroughbred horseracing but was never happier than when he was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Lucille of 65 years, survivors include a son, Duane Giannini and his wife Deborah of Newtown, five grandchildren, Kristin Giannini, M.D. and her husband Dennis Madairy, Jason Giannini and his wife Laura, Amy Lyddy and her husband Ryan, Alison Farrell and her husband David and Amanda Caparosa and her husband James, eight beloved great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Jeffrey Giannini, a daughter-in-law- Diana Giannini, three brothers, Daniel, Guido and Frank Giannini and three sisters, Grace Sodoski, Mildred Dobelstein and Edith Giannini. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private.
