Obituary of Larry Solomon

Trumbull Resident Laurance (Larry) M. Solomon, age 59, of Trumbull, died on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Florence Alabama. Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 17, 1952, he grew up in Syosset, Long Island. In his teens Larry began working in hotels in the Catskills as a waiter with his dear friend and bus boy Bruce Lederman who is like a brother to him. Larry attended University of Hartford and graduated from the University of Buffalo. Larry was a successful business person who started his career at Arthur Anderson. He continued at Chesebrough Ponds, Erno Laszlo, Escada, Diane Von Furstenburg, Buccelatti, Stacks, and most recently TNT Fireworks in Florence, Alabama. During his career he worked extensively overseas often in Africa. He relocated for two years to Unionville, Ontario before returning to the New England area. Larry enjoyed frequenting the Fairfield County Gun Club, billiard competitions at the House of Lords, as well as local casinos; he enjoyed spending time with his dogs, and cats whom he pretended to hate. Survivors include his wife Barbara, his two sons Joshua and Zachary who were the light of his life, his mother Laura of Kiamesha Lake, NY, his brother Abbot Solomon of NYC and a multitude of friends that were like family. He was pre-deceased by his father Martin. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
