Obituary of Donald J. Simonelli

Donald (Simo) J. Simonelli, age 79, of Stratford formerly of Bridgeport, a retired driver for Teamsters Union Local #191 for over 25 years, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on October 21, 1931, he was a son of the late Anthony and Evelyn Simonelli and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran. He enjoyed time spent with friends at the 19th Hole Restaurant and the Moose Lodge in Stratford. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Musto and her husband Thomas Jr. of Bridgeport, Erin Gordon and her husband Dennis of Stratford and Shannon Figueroa and her husband Jose of Bridgeport, nine grandchildren, Dara Lynn, Thomas III, Jacob, Dana Lee, Danielle, Demi, Caitlyn, Alexander and Julisa. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
