Obituary of Lena C. Scianna

Lena C. Scianna, age 94, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Scianna, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Cambridge Manor. Born on July 23, 1917 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Lucia Scinto Nucera. She had worked at the rectory of Our Lady of Grace Church for many years. Mrs. Scianna enjoyed baking, sewing, and was dedicated to raising her family. She will be sadly missed. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her son, Francis X. Scianna and daughter, Ann Marie Lagor, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include five children, Anthony C. Scianna and his wife Louise of NH, Richard Scianna and his wife Debbie of Oxford, Joseph Scianna of Montana, Lucy Vecchiarelli and her husband Peter of Bridgeport and Mary Lisi and her husband Al of Monroe, 24 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Cambridge Manor for the dedicated care they provided. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
