Obituary of Joseph Garisto

Trumbull Resident Joseph Garisto Jr., age 80, of Trumbull, beloved husband of 54 years to Angela deNicolo Garisto, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Vallelonga, Italy on September 30, 1931, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Teresa Lamanna Garisto and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. Mr. Garisto retired from Textron Lycoming in 1993 and was a member of the Local Union #665. In his earlier years he worked in construction. In addition to his wife Angela, survivors include a son, Joseph Garisto III of Trumbull, three daughters, Teresa Carter and her husband James of Trumbull, Deanna Garisto of Stamford, Lisa Garisto of San Diego, CA, a sister, Rosanna Balcastro and her husband Frank of Clearwater, FL, three grandchildren, Matthew and Victoria Carter of Trumbull and James Milne of Marshall, MN as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Antonia Galati and a brother, Vito Garisto. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will be private.
