Obituary of Phyllis Garber

Resident of Shelton Phyllis Verrilli Garber, age 72, of Shelton, beloved wife of Robert Garber, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on May 30, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Retartha Verrilli. A graduate of Sacred Heart University, she was employed by various law firms as a paralegal and later became Product Relations Director for Sturm Ruger of Southport. She was a dedicated parishioner and Eucharistic minister at St. Lawrence Church and a member of the Lay Carmelites. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband Robert, survivors include a son Rob Garber Jr. and his wife Catherine of Stratford, two daughters, Elisa Garber of Bridgeport and Michele Garber-Solomon and her husband, Rick of Bedford, NY, seven grandsons, Emmett, Zak and Max Garber, Will, Rob and Daniel Solomon and Jacob Garber, a brother, Frank J. Verrilli and many additional devoted family and friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford.
