Obituary of Rose M. Prezioso

Rose (Rosina) M. Rizzo Prezioso, age 96, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Emil Prezioso, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in St Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on December 15, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Vita Cataldo Rizzo. Rose enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and watching the New York Yankees.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Nastasia and her husband Daniel of Trumbull, loving daughter, caregiver and best friend Eileen Prezioso of Trumbull, three grandchildren, Daniel Nastasia Jr. and his wife Barbara, Dana Nastasia and Danielle Carlucci, six great grandchildren, Alyssa and Amelia Nastasia, Charlie and Marissa Ciambriello, Maggie and Nicholas Carlucci. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rose was predeceased by two sisters, Katie Cortello and Marion Squezello, and three brothers Tony, Joe and Sam Rizzo.

The family would like to thank the staff at 6N and 6S at St. Vincent Medical Center and also the staff at the Compassionate Care Companions, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly, especially Dr. Kenneth Lisi and Dr. George Goldfarb as well as Moreen, Meriele, Connie and Eileen for all their compassion and care. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. till the time of service.
