Obituary of Angelo Piscitelli

U. S. Army Veteran of WW II Angelo Piscitelli, age 86, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Maria Mendez Piscitelli, died on Saturday November 26, 2011 in Norwalk Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 26, 1925, he was a son of the late Francesco and Ipolitta DeLuzia Piscitelli. Angelo was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II, serving as a medic with the 60th General Hospital in New Guinea, Philippines and Japan. He was a retired shipping supervisor for Jenkins Valve with 40 years of service and was a member of the Jenkins Shooting Team as well as an avid bocce player. He will be best remembered for his stories of times past and his friendly nature. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He was predeceased by a grandson, Scott Piscitelli, a brother Vincent Piscitelli and a sister, Rosina Papale. In addition to his beloved wife Maria, of 64 years, survivors include three sons, Michael Piscitelli and his wife Ann of Winnabow, NC, Gene Piscitelli of Fairfield and Steven Piscitelli of Shelton, four grandchildren, Christopher Piscitelli and his wife Nicole, Carol Ann Johnson, Wendy and Lisa Piscitelli and great grandchildren, Alexis and Cameron Johnson; a brother Frank Piscitelli and his wife Irene and a sister, Josephine Piscitelli all of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
