Obituary of Evelyn Paradiso

Evelyn Eve Dattolo Paradiso, age 81, of Shelton, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Francis Paradiso. Born in Bridgeport, on September 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Libero and Antoinette Costanzo Dattolo. Eve was a dedicated employee of Avco Lycoming/Textron Industries where she worked as a group leader for 21 years before her retirement in 1987. She was an avid bingo player, her greatest joy however was spending time with her family and friends and she will be remembered for having a pot of gravy and a pot of coffee on her stove at all times. In addition to her beloved husband of 60 years, Francis, she is also survived by her daughter Roxanne Paradiso Babian of Shelton, her two grandchildren, Angela Bastien and her husband David of Kirkland, WA and Nicholas Babian of White Plains, NY, her brothers, Enrico Ricky Dattolo of Bridgeport and Frank Dattolo and his wife Judy of Hayward, ID, her sisters, Mildred DeAngelo and her husband Guy, of San Diego, CA, Nellie Grosko and Libera DAmico, both of Monroe, Rose Anderson and her husband John of Newtown, an honorary sister, Sonia Kowalkowski of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her faithful and devoted dogs, Pierre and Fifi. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, August, Filipo Phil, Robert and Joseph Dattolo and her sisters, Michelina Margaret Beaumont and Madeline Dattolo, and a very special cousin, Gloria Milano. The family would like to thank the staff at Griffin Hospital and all the health professionals who have provided services to Eve over the years. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
