Obituary of Concetta A. Fraccascia

Concetta A. (Lupariello) Fraccascia, age 83, of Trumbull passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Mozaic Senior Life.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Fraccascia for 58 years. Born in Bridgeport on February 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Cefola) Lupariello.  Connie was a longtime resident of Trumbull, and she also enjoyed spending time at her second home in Bradenton, Florida.

Connie graduated high school from the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall.  She then earned her bachelor's degree at Manhattanville College, followed by a master’s degree.  Connie was a teacher, beginning her career at Tashua Elementary School in Trumbull.  She was later the proud co-founder of Hickory Dickory Dock nursery school in Bridgeport, where she and one of her best friends enjoyed teaching for many years.

Her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family.  Connie was an amazing cook, and Sunday afternoon dinner was the highlight of the week.  Her gravy and lasagna were out of this world, and her eggplant parmigiana was unrivaled.  Connie was an Eagles fan and watched every game with her son, celebrating each score by singing the Eagles song.  She was an avid reader of mystery and suspense novels, and she often finished a book in a day.  She loved to crochet and created beautiful baby blankets, afghans, sweaters, and wraps.  She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.

Connie had a million-dollar smile that instantly let people know she was special.  She was our sweet, gentle angel, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend of many.  We will all deeply miss her and the fun we had with her, and we have many fond memories and stories to cherish.

She is survived by her loving children, Charrise and Joseph Fraccascia, both of Trumbull, her brothers, Daniel Lupariello and his wife Dotti of Huntington and Dr. Angelo “Chuck” Lupariello and his wife Maryjean of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton. Entombment will follow in the St. Catherine Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
