Obituary of Anthony T. Kruzick

It is with great sadness that we announce that Anthony T. "Tony" Kruzick, age 98, of Trumbull, was called home to the Lord on July 10, 2026 surrounded by his family, and reunited with those who went before him.

Anthony was born in Ranshaw, Pennsylvania, on December 14, 1927, the son of the late Anthony and Helen Kruzick (Zdanciewicz). Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth P. Kruzick; his sister, Mildred Anzulavich; and his brother, Raymond Kruzick.

Tony worked hard all of his life. He studied electronics at night in addition to his regular studies in high school, and graduated from Coal Township High School in Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and served at Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan. He was honorably discharged from the Navy as a Seaman First Class.

Upon coming home, he took advantage of the GI Bill and attended Bucknell University, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Tony married the love of his life, Elizabeth, in 1952.

Tony spent 37 years with General Electric, beginning his career in New York before settling into the wire and cable division in Bridgeport for the last 20 years. He eased into retirement as an electrical engineering consultant while also working in real estate with William Raveis.

Dad loved to tinker and fix things; his favorite saying was, "You first need to identify the problem before solving it." He was ahead of his time, owning one of the first IBM computers. He enjoyed following the stock market and researching promising stocks.

In his time on this earth, he spent much of it golfing, traveling with his loving wife, and — more than anything — cherishing the family he and Bette made together. His favorite time of year was when the whole family was together for the holidays, on the golf course, or simply relaxing on the deck. If you were lucky enough to get one of his "cruncher buncher" hugs, you knew just how much love he had for his family.

Tony is survived by his four loving children: daughter Sharon Ferguson and her husband, Richard, of Trumbull; son Michael and his wife, Carole, of Trumbull; daughter Diane Becker and her husband, Gregory, of Killington, Vermont; and son Anthony and his wife, Karyn, of South Windsor. He will be greatly missed by his eight loving grandchildren, Kimberly Rose, Matthew Ferguson, Kelly Carlin, Stephanie Kruzick, Andrew Becker, Katheryn Kruzick, Daniel Kruzick, and Brian Kruzick, along with his three beautiful great-grandchildren, Charlotte Rose and Henry and Aidan Carlin.

His family would like to sincerely thank Executive Home Care in Stratford, especially Darla, who helped care for Dad at home, as well as the compassionate staff at Mozaic Senior Life and Hartford Healthcare Hospice at Home. The family also expresses their gratitude to neighbor and friend John Turey, with whom Dad loved to "shoot the breeze," discussing politics and world affairs.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Burial with military honors will follow immediately at St. Monica Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
