Obituary of Joseph Charles Ficano Jr.

Joseph Charles Ficano, Jr., age 73, of Shelton, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Born in Bridgeport on July 20, 1952, he was a son of the late Joseph C. Sr., and Regina Smith Ficano.

Joe enjoyed a successful career in the HVAC industry, proudly working his way up from the bottom into management. Known for his generous heart and fantastic sense of humor, he was often the life of the party and fiercely dedicated to ensuring his loved ones were always taken care of. Joe also had a deep love for animals—especially cats—and always brought warmth and laughter to those around him.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Visco Ficano, two loving children, a daughter, Lindsay Guarino and her husband Steve and a son, Nicholas Ficano and his wife Allison, four adored grandchildren, Luke, Evan and Nathan Guarino and Elliott Ficano, a brother, Leonard Ficano and his wife Barbara, a sister-in-law, Peggy Ficano, as well as several nieces and nephews and his feline companion, Joey. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Ficano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Lordship Road, Stratford, CT. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
