Obituary of Louise L. Schuler

Louise L. (Forte) Schuler, age 87, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport on January 5, 1939, a daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Cipriano) Forte. Louise had worked as a bookkeeper for both the Town of Trumbull and Highway Department with over 26 years of dedicated service and built many friendships along the way. In her early years, she was heavily involved with her daughters as a troop leader in the Girl Scouts and always made time to attend and support her son in the sporting events he was a part of. She enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to trips to Florida to spend time with her daughter. She was a remarkably talented artist and loved to draw and paint with both acrylics and watercolors. The creations that adorn the homes of her family will be treasured for years to come. She was a woman of great resiliency, always beating the odds that were stacked against her. Whether it be raising her three children alone, working multiple jobs to make ends meet or beating a cancer diagnosis twice, she used her faith, strong determination and hard work ethic to support and provide for her family ahead of everything. The invaluable lessons she taught her children will live in their hearts forever.

Survivors include her loving children, Lisa Vance and her husband Derek, Frank Schuler, and Tammy Beaudoin and her husband James, her brother, Frederick Forte and his wife Lila, and her sister, Joanne Forte. She was also survived by her niece and nephew, Michele Conklin and her husband Jeff and Stephen Forte, and her great nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Alexandra, Madison and Jake, as well as many beloved grand dogs.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
