Obituary of Rosalina Villanueva

Rosalina Villanueva, 78, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. Born in Camuy, Puerto Rico, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and woman of faith.

Rosalina was the beloved widow of Reinaldo Villanueva. She is survived by her children: Luis A. Villanueva, Alicia Mejias, Rosa A. Del Valle, Reinaldo Villanueva Jr., and Cristina Dias. She also leaves behind 16 cherished grandchildren and 20 treasured great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister, Lydia Gonzalez. Rosalina was predeceased by her brothers William Acevedo, Florentino Acevedo Jr., Pedro Acevedo, and Antonio Acevedo, and by her sisters Henia Acevedo, Delia Acevedo and Luz Maria Perez.

Rosalina found joy in playing the guitar, singing, and spending time with her family. Her warmth, faith, and love for those around her will be remembered by all who knew her.

Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion lives on through the many lives she touched.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. A Prayer Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, North Clearwater, Florida.
