Obituary of Rodney M. Chin
Rodney M. Chin, age 51, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Stamford, CT on October 8, 1974, he was a son of Annetta (Jones) Chin and the late Basil Chin and was a longtime resident of South Florida before coming to Bridgeport.
Rodney loved socializing with his family and friends. He loved dancing and listening to music, especially reggae. His favorite artists are Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey… in that order. He was a wonderful swimmer and loved riding his bike. Above all, he loved his mom and dad who brought him into this world against doctors' advice and gave him life-long love and compassion. God bless Mom for ushering him back to the Father as one of His angels.
In addition to his devoted mother Annetta, survivors include his four loving siblings, sisters, Marie Mrowka and Christine Hanson Chin and brothers, Dwyane Scott and Sean Chin. He also leaves to cherish his memory five beloved nieces and nephews Amanda Mrowka, Nicole Chalmers, Luis LeBron, Brandon Hanson and Grayson Chin. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Rodney's life will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Friends may greet the family prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
