Obituary of Minnie A. Freddino
Minnie (DeMonte) Freddino, age 100, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Carney L. Freddino Jr., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, on August 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Lisacchi) DeMonte.
In her early years, Minnie was a volunteer with the North End Boys Club where she once served as President. She enjoyed trips to the casino with family and would always get in a little shopping. Her life was devoted to her family; she was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and looked forward to attending many parties, holidays and celebrations. She will be missed, but her memory and traditions will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Survivors include her loving children, Robert M. Freddino and his wife, Karen, Diane Freddino, and Gary J. Freddino, her devoted and loving grandchildren, Gina Freddino, Laurie Pittman and her husband Victor, Carney L. Freddino IV, Robert M. Freddino Jr., Daniel L. Freddino and his wife Jaci, Katlyn Freddino and Sarah Johns and her husband Sam and eight great-grandchildren, Carney L. Freddino V., Reilly Nydell, Cici Freddino, Tyson Freddino, Abby Freddino, Sydney Freddino, Michael Johns and Baby Girl Johns on the way as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Carney L. Freddino III, four brothers and two sisters.
The Freddino family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the sixth floor of St. Vincent's Medical Center for their loving and dedicated care to Minnie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
