Obituary of Amelia Mildred Tedesco

Amelia Mildred Tedesco peacefully entered Eternal Life on May 28, 2026. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of Domenica and Louis Pollione. Mildred worked for many years in Skydel's Department Store, where she had many faithful and satisfied customers. Mildred, also know fondly as M, met the love of her life, Dominic Tedesco on the steps of Holy Rosary Church. They enjoyed a loving and caring marriage for fifty-four years.

Mildred enjoyed being with family and friends, entertaining, cooking, baking, reading, crossword puzzles, the New York Yankees, music, Pepe's Pizza, movies, a good laugh and playing pinochle whenever she had the chance. She was an active member of the St. Theresa's Guild of Holy Rosary Church for many years. She was a kind person who valued the love of family, good friendships and good times.

Mildred is survived by her children, Attorney Daniel L. Tedesco and Donna M. Atkins, her godson and nephew Louis Basso (Ann), several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband Dom, son in law George Atkins, her sister Antoinette Basso (Angelo), eight sisters in law and their spouses, Lucy Perille (Carmen), Frances DeMatteo (Carl), Florence Retartha (John), Felice Tedesco, Ann Marchetti (Cleeko), Teresa Annicella (Anthony), Carmella Merola (Frank) Isabel Garamella (Leonard) and several nieces and nephews.

At Mildred's request, funeral services were held privately and entombment took place in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
