Obituary of Beatrice Allen

Beatrice Mae (Wynn) Allen, age 94, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred Allen, Jr. Born in Crewe, VA on October 28, 1931, she was a daughter of the late George and Lucille (Greene) Wynn. Early in her career, Mrs. Allen had worked as a secretary for General Electric. It was here that she met her husband Fred and they began a life together and raised three children. She later worked as an order processor at United Beauty Supply, formerly of Monroe, before her retirement with over 20 years of dedicated service and building many friendships along the way. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family and her love for the outdoors was satisfied as she tended to her gardens, which were always meticulously kept and produced an abundance of fresh vegetables. Beatrice also loved to bake and cook and she was thrilled to provide meals that brought her family together. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three loving children, Wayne Allen, Terri Allen and Tracy Allen, her cherished granddaughter, Thomese, sister-in-law, Eunice Wynn as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of cousins, too numerous to mention. In addition to her husband Fred, she was also predeceased by her brothers, George, Samuel, Lewis, Percy, William, Jasper and sister, Lillian Scott; sisters-in-law, Clarice, Willa, Elta, Dorothy and Galatia Wynn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Friday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, www.stroke.org.
