Obituary of Luz D. Tedesco
Luz Delia Tedesco, age 86, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Tedesco, Esq. Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on February 12, 1940, she was the youngest daughter of Felix and Santa Cruz de Baez.
Outside of her devotion to her family, Lucy dedicated many years to supporting and educating special needs students at Skane School in Bridgeport. She was a master in ceramic art, proudly running her own ceramic studio for years, where her creativity and talent brought beauty and happiness to many.
Lucy enjoyed many things including starting her day with a Dunkin’ coffee, having her hair and nails done, sharing a perfect meal with her family and friends, and keeping up with her telenovelas. Her laughter, sassiness, and love for life will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Pires and her husband David, Dulcie Carreras- Riffle and Dianna Ilarraza Sherman and her husband Michael Lucas, four loving grandchildren, Christina Bermudez-Pires (Kay), Alexandra Campos (Jason), Cody Riffle and Edward Sherman along with six cherished great grandchildren: Jayden, Stella, Lucia, Mila, Brielle and Joshua, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jeffrey Riffle and nine sisters.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with a prayer service to take place at 6:30 pm. Interment will be held privately.
