Obituary of Rose Drace

Rose Nastri Drace, age 98, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Michael Drace, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Haven on June 12, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Ignazio and Assunta Pietrovito Nastri. A long-time resident of Fairfield, Rose loved to crochet and gifted many lovely blankets over the years. She enjoyed cooking for the family and always had a smile on her face when all were gathered around the table sharing stories and laughter. She liked to garden and was also an avid reader, especially of celebrity biographies. But above all, Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who was dedicated to the love and care of her family. The unconditional love she shared will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her. Survivors include her two loving daughters, Barbara Rega and her husband Glen and Joanne Flamini, three cherished grandchildren, Michelle Weiner and her husband Greg, Adam Rega and Kendyll Flamini, two adored great grandchildren, Greg and Chloe, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Philip Nastri and three sisters, Josephine Consiglio, Annette Ferro and Kay Nastri. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
