Obituary of John A. Barry

John A. Barry, age 85, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2026. Born in Bridgeport on July 3, 1940, he was a son of the late Matthew E. Barry, Sr. and Elizabeth (Mahoney) Barry and was a lifelong Bridgeport Resident.

John was a letter carrier with the United States Post Office with over 30 years of dedicated service working out of the Beardsley Station. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with friends at the Bridgeport Elks Club, where he was a member for many years.

John is survived by his loving brother, Richard Barry and his companion, Lynn MacMillen. He was predeceased by his brother, Matthew E. Barry, Jr.
