I have come late to the news of John's death. He was a wonderful man. And I regret that i had not seen him in a very long time. John worked for years with my father, Jerry Daly, out of Beardsley Station, a now gone US Postal Service office on Hawley Avenue in Bridgeport's North End. My father, who died in 1993, went through a long battle with prostate cancer. I had great admiration for John and the late Cliff LaRose, another postal worker, who regularly visited my father at his home in Fairfield. They both were kind, compassionate, funny men who, for sure, brightened the lives of my father, me, and, I'm sure, so many others. Michael Daly
