Obituary of Lucia A. Faiella

Lucia A. Grillo Faiella, age 60, beloved wife of Arcangelo Faiella Sr. of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 28, 1965, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Enza (Burgio) Grillo and was a lifelong city resident. Lucia was a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Fairfield and worked with the City of Bridgeport Board of Education as a Paraprofessional at Central High School with many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, dominoes, and word searches but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and her dog. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband Arcangelo of 40 years this July, survivors include her two loving children, Arcangelo Faiella Jr. (Ashley Simeone) of Palm Coast, FL and Donnamarie Faiella (Matthew Romeo) of Bridgeport, a brother, Salvatore Grillo (Karen) of West Haven and two sisters, Maria Castore of Deerfield Beach, FL and Elizabeth Borges (Rui) of Palm Coast, FL as well as beloved nieces and nephews, Elizeu (Kendall), Dylan (Kianna), Arabella (Timothy), Tara, Paige (Tristin) and Kacie and her favorite fur daughter, Dakota. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, April 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
